Ultra and Violet

This particular model has deep roots that trace all the way back to the beginning of our brand. While the formula has been slightly tweaked over the years, the general tonality has remained more or less the same — the clear treble response of its ceramic magnet balanced with an even midrange and tight lows. Because of a flaw in the machine that the original pickup was built on, there was a certain harmonic richness in the high end that bloomed beautifully on chord decays; this effect was then reproduced with a specific winding approach that mimicked the faulty machine’s spin. The neck pickup was designed later on, made to compliment the voice of the original bridge pickup but calibrated and tuned for its respective position, making it brighter than our P.A.F. offerings and with a touch less low end, but still being very traditional in its tone. The overall vision with this set, since the beginning, is all about punchiness and articulation, and our latest iteration reflects this beautifully.
