Not much changed from the late 50’s and early 60’s as far as spec goes for Stratocaster pickups, however, they became slightly hotter as the years went on. The S-63 generally follows the same spec as our S-57, but with more coils, which yields a hotter tone that has more midrange warmth, making it great for those looking for a little more balance between the highs and lows.
