1957 was an iconic year for Stratocasters as Fender fully moved into using A5 magnets, which became the standard from then on. These pickups started getting a touch brighter, a little fuller in the lows, and that classic slightly scooped midrange that we all know and love. To us, this is the quintessential Stratocaster tone.
